A Continuous Healing Pattern Used By Many Types Of Alternative Medicine
Many types of alternative medicine use organic produce as one of their continuous therapy programs as a means to aid the digestive system to heal and return to a fully functioning status. But knowing whether organic fruits and vegetables is better than its conventional grown counterpart seems like a ridiculous question to me. Why is it even necessary for anyone to test it? Just stop and think. The organic's produce farmer means this grower can not use insecticides nor weed killers on the plants themselves or in and around the soil. If someone handed you a can of RAID insect spray or a bottle of dandelion killer and asked you to spray it in your mouth, are you going to? Of course you wouldn't. But this is exactly what happens to conventional grown fruits and vegetables on a daily basis, they just happen to be using chemicals and herbicides far stronger than anything you will find in that can of RAID. All of the sprays, powders, dusts and granules which are being spread as treatments on a crop actually leach into the food itself or into the root systems through the soil. Either way, when you continuously eat conventional grown fruits and vegetables instead of the organic varieties, your body is also accumulating and building up a toxic level of these substances. Nutritional Value Of Organic Produce Vs. ConventionalTo me, this seems to be another one of those questions where common sense alone has to be able to answer this question.But controversy remains surrounding both organizations with the one side (conventional) determining there is no difference and the other side (organic) revealing healthier soil and the lack of environmental toxins has got to achieve a better final end product. Soil tests, chemical tests, environmental testing, vitamin and mineral quotients and even blind taste tests which recently were initiated by the Washington State University soil and science department finished the largest and most detailed comprehensive test ever ran on both conventional and organic produce. The final results revealed the organic varieties do have higher antioxidant values, a higher frequency of nutritional vitamin and mineral concentrations, greater levels of the all-important vitamin C and digestive enzymes plus the polyphenolic compounds (for digestive health) were not always present in the conventional gardened produce. This test also proved it is possible for you or the farmer to grow and harvest the same quantity and quality of produce grown organically but without the use of any of the chemicals and pesticides which are detrimental to both human health and the surrounding environment. So how do I tell for sure when I am at the grocery store if my produce is considered organic? This is a neat little code applied to all selections for marketing and pricing purposes. Always check the growers label and check for the following: - 5 digit code starting with a #9 means the product was grown organically
- 4 digit code starting with #3 or 4 means the product was grown conventionally
- 5 digit code starting with a #8 should mean you need to RUN -- this is a GMO grown product.
Genetically modified organisms, or a relatively newer form of chemically altered seeds and (soon to be coming) seafood products are entering the market at an alarming rate. Testing on these products, even without trial studies have shown major concerns for our health and welfare and yet the products still keep entering the sales market (your grocery store) at an alarming rate. Higher rates of chemical toxicity, environmental allergies, higher incidences of food allergies, higher incidences of ADD and ADHD diagnosis, plus on and on. All of these are testing out positive at an alarming rate in today's society, and yet no one will place a label where the "blame" lies. Several rapidly growing organizations are no longer shying away from this fight because of the continued prevalence of an ever-growing increase in major and minor medical problems being diagnosed daily all across the world. They happen to believe, by continuous testing and verifying of their facts, that one of the factors in this increase is the ever-spreading use of GMO food products in use in our food supply.
