Killer Poison Ivy

I don't know if this is called homeopathy but me and poison ivy just seem to love each other.
I swear if I see it, smell it, the wind blows it, it just doesn't matter -- I've got it. Who ever said you have to touch it did not know what they were talking about.
The last time I had it really bad, the bumps started right before Christmas. It's now February and I am covered with these horrible itchy bumps.
No matter what I did, they would not go away. I probably owned everything in a drug store that was supposed to get rid of a rash.
I finally broke down and went to the doctor. When he told me poison ivy, I thought he was nuts. I told him you don't get poison ivy in Massachusetts at Christmas.
(It seems I got it from the firewood)
We went and visited some friends in Virginia that March. Somebody mentioned to me to pick this weed out of the yard, grind it all up so it is juicy and smear my bumps with it. I didn't know why weeds was supposed to help but the stuff the doctor gave me wasn't accomplishing much so what the he--!
After smearing almost my whole body it seems like (it took a lot of weeds, we used all the neighbors yards also), I noticed it did not itch as much. If you keep smearing the stuff on, it would actually stop itching completely for a little while.
We were only in Virginia for 3 days and had to go home. It was already drying up before we left. Only problem, there is no weeds in Massachusetts in March yet. So we went all over the place in Virginia before we left and asked people if we could take these weeds out of their yard.
Lots of people thought we were nuts, but all they had to do was see me and all my spots and if I said these weeds help, then go ahead and take them was usually the answer.
The weed- I later found out is called Plantain. If you get poison ivy, find out what it is. It works great.
