Bottled Water Vs Tap Water:
All Types Of Alternative Medicine
Recommend Liquids For Digestion

The debate rages on whether bottled water vs tap water is worth the extra expense when shopping at the store. Often, it is not unusual you will hear "I won't touch tap water" but after going up and down the aisles of most supermarkets, what one food group is almost every person's shopping cart full of? For most shopper's- it is drinks!

Soda, bottled waters, cans of frozen or fresh juices such as orange, tomato, grapefruit, apple or grape juice. Then add the powdered drinks that you mix with water or some people go so far as buying carbonated water(sparkling water or club soda) because we are told "it's good for you".

It is not unusual that 25% of every week's total grocery bill is some form of drinks. Yes, in most types of alternative medicine, the number one recommendation is to stay hydrated- but they did not mean on sugary or artificially sweetened drinks.

So,if you happen to be one of those families that repeats the suggestion bottled water vs tap water and which is going to come out ahead- then from now on think filtered water instead!

How Much Does A Home Filtration System Cost

If you take just one month's "drink allowance" which you spend at the grocery store, you can get a good quality kitchen water filtering system for your tap. This system can spare you tons of sugar, artificial sweeteners, dyes and preservatives plus the ever popular word calories. Plus, after the initial one time investment of purchasing the water system, all of your drinks from that day forward are almost virtually free.

If you get tired of just plain water, make your own fruit or vegetable drinks. Add some slices of lime, lemon, strawberries, oranges or combine them into your favorite thirst quenching mixes. Your taste buds here are the only determining factor as to how many combinations you can come up with.

Fresh tomatoes, tossed into a blender make excellent tomato juice. Add a little of your filtered water, a few spices to taste (celery seed, chili powder, oregano etc) and you now have a healthy nutritious drink with next to no increased sodium levels. Almost all canned or bottled tomato juices are actually off limits for the person with high blood pressure. Half your day's quota of sodium is in that one glass of tomato juice.

And finally, if you prefer "bubbly drinks" and you can't get them from either bottled water vs tap water, then it's time to invest in a seltzer maker. With this one time investment you can make all the carbonated beverages right at your own home. Add any of your own favorite flavorings for a homemade version that tastes as good as or better than the store's, without the store's premium price.

So the next time the debate comes up about bottled water vs tap water in your home, can't you just think of somehow else all that money you could save would fit back into your own wallet?
